Queer Book Club is a Canadian NPO dedicated to uplifting 2SLGBTQ+ books, queer authors, and LGBTQ+ literature across every genre.

We exist to make queer stories easier to discover, better supported, and more widely celebrated by readers, publishers, and communities alike.

We believe books are more than entertainment. Queer stories educate, affirm identity, preserve history, and create connection. By centering 2SLGBTQ+ voices, Queer Book Club works to build a more inclusive, representative, and equitable literary landscape.

Championing 2SLGBTQ+ Books & Stories

At Queer Book Club, we celebrate the depth and diversity of queer books and LGBTQ+ stories. Our curated collections highlight fiction, romance, young adult, memoir, nonfiction, graphic novels, and speculative genres that reflect the full spectrum of 2SLGBTQ+ identities and lived experiences.

Representation matters. We believe everyone deserves to see themselves reflected in literature—to find recognition, comfort, joy, and possibility in the pages of a book. By spotlighting both emerging and established queer voices, we help ensure LGBTQ+ stories are not sidelined, tokenized, or forgotten.

Supporting Queer & 2SLGBTQ+ Authors

Queer authors face ongoing barriers within the publishing industry, particularly writers who are trans, nonbinary, Black, Indigenous, or otherwise marginalized. Queer Book Club is committed to supporting 2SLGBTQ+ authors through visibility, advocacy, and direct support.

Through grants, resources, and promotion, we work to elevate queer writers and help bring their stories to a wider audience. Our goal is not only to celebrate queer authors, but to help sustain their creative work and long-term careers.

Building a Queer Reading Community

Queer Book Club is more than a book resource—it’s a growing community of readers, writers, and allies who believe in the power of LGBTQ+ literature. We create space for discovery, conversation, and connection around queer books that challenge, comfort, and inspire.

Whether you’re here to find your next favorite read, support 2SLGBTQ+ authors, or explore queer stories for the first time, Queer Book Club welcomes you. Together, we’re building a future where queer literature is accessible, celebrated, and impossible to ignore.
